A Fabulous Fourth Fit

I hope everyone had an absolutely fabulous Independence Day! I know that short week right before a holiday weekend is always so dreadful, but that doesn't mean your outfit has to be! Since we had a short week at work and most people had taken the week off, I went a little more casual (but patriotic!) in my outfit choices - comfort meets office casual. This would be a great fit for a Fourth of July cookout, day at the lake, or family get together.

This adorable little red dress is from one of my faves, Target! I love the fit of this dress, I'm wearing an XS, it's the perfect summer length. The neckline is a modest fit but also great to show off a cute layered necklace as I have styled here. This dress is truly versatile, you could wear it with sandals as pictured, or throw on some sneakers and a hat for a day at the ballpark. These platform espadrille sandals have been my Summer staple shoe! I've been wearing them nonstop and I think they go great with this dress to give it a 'business casual' vibe that's perfect for an easy week in the office.

A good layered necklace can dress up any outfit as pictured here. I got this one from Amazon last season and it's an easy way to add a statement to what would otherwise be a plain fit. It's a three piece set so you can mix and match, or wear each necklace individually; chains are super in right now and I wear the simple chain necklace all the time when I feel like a need a small, subtle piece to elevate or add to an outfit.
